EBRD & POWER 1

Power One has signed a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) totaling €22.3 million to implement a project for the construction of 68 MW of decentralized power generation in the Zakarpattia region.

This initiative has also received grant funding of €3 million from the EBRD Crisis Response Special Fund, which is supported by the Government of Norway.

The project предусматривает the installation of gas piston units (36.8 MW) and energy storage systems (31.5 MW). Power One’s decentralized generation facilities will be located across several sites with capacities of up to 10 MW each, reducing risks to the energy system and increasing its resilience to external impacts.

Thanks to the rapid start-up of gas piston units and the instant response of energy storage systems, such facilities can quickly support the grid during peak demand hours or in emergency situations.

The implementation of the project will help reduce energy dependence, strengthen local energy infrastructure, and ensure stable electricity supply for businesses and critical facilities.
